Love the simple and neutral design which looks lovely in the nursery. I bought one of the recommended mattresses and it’s a perfect fit. The assembly is quite straightforward but the instructions aren’t very well written - like others we found the installation of the drop side confusing, though once you’ve done it once and know how it’s done, it’s actually quite easy. The finish is more of a shiny lacquered look than what I expected from the photos but you definitely wouldn’t have to worry about splinters. Drop side is a bit noisy (makes a loud click when you raise it back up) so I don’t tend to use it during the night but still appreciate having that feature.

The cot looks nice but that’s about it. The drop side building instructions were confusing and the actual thing is even more annoying to use. There is no way to use it quietly without waking baby in it. Apparently you only need a leg and an arm but I need to use a leg and both arms and tug and it quite roughly. Sometimes one side won’t unlock and I can’t get it down. Especially annoying with a frustrated baby inside waiting to get picked up.

We received our babyhood lulu cot in natural start of june, we have recently set it up in the nursery, I didn’t realise the wood slats all around were so much lighter and yellow in colour to the rest of the wood. I’m actually a little disappointed and feel like we can’t send it back now we have it up. I thought the wood would all match all the way around. Little bit gutted! Something to be aware of when buying the lulu cot in natural. :)

The cot was easy to set up and looks great! I was expecting all parts of the cot to be the same wooden finish but there seems to be two tones. The pictures I saw before purchasing did not show this. Despite that I am happy with the cot :)
