At Babyhood, we know that every family has different preferences when it comes to choosing a cot. While many parents appreciate the convenience of a drop side, others prefer the reassurance of a fixed-side cot.
That’s why we’ve updated the design of our cots to give you both options in one cot.
Over the years, cot safety standards and parental preferences have evolved. Many parents now actively look for fixed-side cots, as they feel more comfortable with a design where the sides remain permanently secured.
For families who prefer this style, we wanted to offer a simple solution, without removing the features that many parents still find helpful.
We are phasing in our new cot design, to include additional pre-drilled holes in the sides of the cot, along with bolts that allow the drop side to be securely fixed in place.
This means the drop side can be permanently locked, effectively turning the cot into a fixed-side cot.
The result is a design that offers greater flexibility for families, while still maintaining the functionality that many parents and caregivers appreciate.
For some families, the ability to lower the side of the cot can make it easier to safely lift baby in and out, particularly for family members with bad backs, or those who are not very tall.
For others, afixed-side cot provides extra peace of mind.
With our updated design, parents can choose the setup that works best for them and their household.
